Japan House seeks to foster awareness and appreciation for Japan by showcasing the very best of Japanese art, design, innovation, technology, and more.
Japan House Library Los Angeles needed to improve their informational services for visitors. They needed to improve user experience and collect feedback from users. Their kiosk app was hard to manage and with various technical and usability issues. Together with our agency partner, Bull & Beard, we accepted the challenge.
There are number of images that are missing.
There is no visual order and icons look very "cheap". Too much white space.
A number of console errors found that need to be addressed.
Again this is not how Japanesse would do it. No dedication to details.
Occassionally we were getting these. Probably servers issues.
There are broken links on the site.
Forms also deserve some design treatment.
MANE redesigned the kiosk app to align with the spirit of Japan. It’s pragmatic, straightforward, with attention to detail. UX is dramatically improved, and technical issues are solved by design. Together with our agency partner Bull & Beard, we made significant improvements for Japan House Los Angeles. We integrated their other web properties within the Kiosk App and offered more information for visitors.
